Colorado Part 1

How in the world do I choose from the over 900 pictures which ones to blog about?!? It's very hard to decide, so just bear with me.

We had a WONDERFUL trip! I thought for sure that two weeks would be enough time to to do everything we wanted to do and see everybody that we wanted to see ... not at all. But we had a fun time, nonetheless.

This kids were great on the plane! Thank heavens for technology, cause even an additional 1/2 hour on the tarmac didn't make a big difference.

At our layover in Chicago there was a guy playing the piano and we stopped to watch for awhile. When he finished his song the were enthusiastic so he asked them if they wanted to play. The held their finger and played out the melody while he played the accompaniment with his other hand. It was very cool, and the kids loved it.

We always walk the Rainbow Tunnel even if we don't have to go that way.
As soon as we got to CO all of the Grandparents swarmed and we had dinner together. The kids were ecstatic to see everybody.

The first half of the trip we stayed with Matt's folks.
They had Easter buckets waiting for them when they got there.

We had plans to go to the zoo our first day there, but we were still recovering from our full day of traveling, so we decided to stay closer to home and just go to Chuck E Cheese.

Aunt Holly and CC having some "girl talk."

We had the opportunity to go up and visit Great Grandma Porter.

And see cousins. Don't they look alike?

We enjoyed an awesome dinner with friends. The kids still call this girl "baby Peyton" although she is older than CC.

We took a long walk to the park and had lots of fun!

Grandpa would share either a root beer or orange soda with K once a day, and K wouldn't let him forget about it. It was his favorite part of the day.
The lilacs were in full bloom all over town. My fav!
Our wonderful Thornton friends met us at our favorite park for a fun morning. K was happy to see people he recognized. His friend B drew him a picture. It was SO sweet.
Gymnast CC.

Handsome Eli.
Silly Lucas.
Sweet Caroline.

"Little" Makenna
Adorable baby Mason (K loves babies)

SO much fun! I really miss the multitude of beautiful modern parks in CO.

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter a few days late! We had a GREAT Easter around here. On Saturday there was a ward Easter activity with games, coloring, an Easter lesson and an egg hunt. The kids had a blast!
I love the next two action shots!

K was SO excited about his team winning the relay.
There was an egg throw.
They got to color their Easter bags/baskets.

Then they collected their eggs! Here are me and my kiddos!

On Sunday morning the Easter bunny had visited our house. There were bug nets in their baskets to catch the bug eggs!

It's a ladybug egg!

This is what bug eggs look like. :-)
A friend invited us over for dinner and MORE egg hunting. It was a blast sharing the holiday with friends.
