Fall Fun

We have been busy having fun this fall. Last weekend we went to the pumpkin patch to get some pumpkins.

The kids were getting lots of giggles from watchers as they pulled each other around in the wagon. Several people commented that C is "determined." Oh boy, if they only had a clue how determined she is. :-)
This is one of her dancing faces. Little sassafras.
Yesterday was the most beautiful fall day, so we raked up the leaves and did some quality leaf jumping.
Pure joy...

JUMP!
JUMP!!

Last night was the Ward's Halloween Chili Cook off and Trunk or Treat.
Obviously C was a princess and K was a knight.
We had played so hard all day that the kids were exhausted.
With a few buddies.

Lots of fun to be had in these parts of the country!

Today is a calm weather day, but is it the calm before the storm? Hurricane Sandy is on her way and although I don't think we will see too much of it, I wouldn't mind a little bit of excitement. Be careful what you wish for right?

Grandma & Grandpa Huber

Our final visitors were my folks. It was a rainy, rainy week, but we managed to find a few things to do. One of the main things my folks wanted to do was see some of the New England fall colors, so we took a drive up the Hudson river

The other big thing that we did was go apple picking. The crops are really small this year but the experience was still fun and we still got a lot of apples.

My Mom is really good at fining 4 leaf clovers.
I think it brought my girl some extra luck because she won us a free bag of apples by picking a number on a spinning wheel. She picked 2!

Matt snuck in a picture of me, so here I am in all my chubby pregnant glory. :-)

Because of the weather, we mostly hunkered down and cuddled and read books and just spent time together at the house, but I think a good time was had by all. Thanks again for coming Mom & Dad!

2nd Visitors: New Jersey

A few days after the Porters left my BFF Jessica flew into town. She flew into Albany so drive with the kids and I down to NJ to see our 3rd BFF and her new house. We were having so much fun that we didn't take many pictures. We stayed at Jodi's hotel so we spent as much time in the hotel pool as possible. K has become quite the fish:
The kids got lots of good cuddles with their aunts too:
The other picture I have is of the girls in baiting suits but I don't think they would appreciate me posting it. :-)
It was so great to see my girls for a quick trip. Jess stayed in NJ while the kids and I drove home by ourselves to get ready for our next visitors. I was SO nervous about the long drive by myself, but with 4 hours of movies and some good snacks they did great!

Grandma & Grandma Porter Visit: Boston

Well we did let Grandma and Grandpa out of the house, just once. We took a few night trip over to Boston to check it out.

Our first day there we took turns going to the temple and watching kiddos.
The second day we parked at a park-n-ride outside of the city and took the train in. The kids loved that.
Some fun family shots by the wharf/pier (whatever you call it). :-)

We were debating on spending the day at the aquarium or just seeing an Imax show and then seeing more of the town. We decided on the Imax, but not till after checking out everything they had outside the aquarium.
It's kinda hard to tell that this is a sea lion that was checking out K. They were very cute and very interactive.
3D Under the Sea Imax show

C was a little grumpy bug until she got to ride the carousel with Grandpa.

This was a living statue that if you gave him a dollar he would give you words of wisdom from his bucket. Here are the kids waiting for their wisdom:

We checked out, ate lunch at, and really enjoyed Quincy market.
By 2:00 the kids were pooped so we took the train back to the car and headed back home.
Matt finally was able to take a few days off of work so he and Grandpa cut down a couple dozen trees on our property and then rented a mulcher and ran them all through. It was a lot of work.

Thank you for your wonderful visit Grandma & Grandpa! We can't wait to see you in January!
