On Monday night we surprised the kids with a Staycation! (That's a vacation that is not too far from home.) This is where we went:
We found a great deal on a room at the Great Escape Lodge & Indoor Waterpark so we decided to take advantage of it. We drove up after work on Monday and immediately headed to the pool!
There was something for everybody, even Matt.
The kids spent a lot of time in the kiddie pool, they literally did this for 30 minutes. Literally!
Then they upgraded to the bigger kiddie slide, and did that for a long time.
We did get K to go on the bigger slides, he rode the "green one" a couple dozen times.
Silly boy.
After our first day of swimming we ate dinner at Johnny Rockets right at the hotel.
Of course we had to get milkshakes for dessert.
On Tuesday we did it again!
The kids LOVED it! And I can't say LOVED big enough. They would have swam all night and all day Tuesday if we had let them! Even today they are still talking about it, and C keeps saying "lets do it again!"

Isn't that place fun....prefect for a staycation! I liked the surfing ride even though when I wiped out on it the top of my suit came down and when I got up I flashed everyone one. (Well maybe not everyone but plenty of people.) Good times :)
Can I come too? That pool looks awesome! And you can't go wrong with chocolate shakes :)
